Wonderful

Great location within walking distance of market and shops. Friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous view over the water from balcony both day and night. Would definitely recommend.

Love the restaurant staff! Some things could be improved with the room cleaning and general vibe

The staff were so lovely and went beyond to chat to us and be friendly! The food was yummy in the hotel. The hotel was clean. The views were lovely.

Some flowers in the room would have been nice. We went to the market to buy our own. The bath tub wouldn’t empty. There was renovations happening that we weren’t told about prior to booking. There is no footpath out the front meaning you have to walk on the road with cars to exit the hotel. Some more vegan meals without dairy would also be good. The cleaner didn’t change our sheets but made our beds back up with sand in them. There was a loud ship parked out on the water which made it less peaceful.

The staff were simply amazing. Super polite professional helpful and warm. The facilities were still recovering from cyclones but was clean and comfortable. Awesome location too

Nothing. Again your biggest assets are your front desk staff and restaurant staff. They were outstanding.

Location mixed with grandeur

The first impression from the entry foyer is one of elegant grandeur. There is a view from every room’s balcony. Yet it is private from the room next door. The harbour is busy so very tranquil to look out and see people going about their lives. Staff are prompt to respond to your needs and love to have a laugh.

Breakfast is a little pricey.

The staff were great!

The staff were beautiful! So close to everything so be weary of the noise of the construction and traffic. The elevators had an odd smell and it was really hot. Loved the room’s view and strong aircon though.

I didn’t like that you were allowed to smoke in the casino, but that’s maybe because I’m from Australia and don’t find it normal.

too short to have a proper rating

friendliness, view. location is a bit of a tough one if you have a vehicle. didn't have breakfast. had that later when we returned but didn't stay the hotel when we came back.

one of the rooms had to be redone to accommodate two of the family members because the original request wasn't received properly although it was communicated. so had to wait for some time before two family members could go into their rooms.

Great central location, very comfortable room with wonderful view over the water. Would definitely stay again.

The location was fabulous - right in the centre - ability to walk most places. The room was lovely - spacious, comfortable bed and lovely view out over the water. The staff at the front desk were wonderful - so friendly and helpful.

The only small downside was that the room service menu was quite limited and there wasn’t any fitness facilities.

Central location near everything and good setting with nice views

Location and amenities were very good. Staff was also very helpful.

Because of Casino in the building, there was a smoke smell in main reception lobby and in the hall ways!

Very nice, all services hotel. Recommended if in Port Vila.

Great bayside location. Clean and comfortable room. Wonderful bay view balcony and view. It’s going through a major renovation in but the work didn’t interfere with our stay. The front desk staff were so friendly. The restaurant staff were very nice. I have lots more positive things to say.

The ongoing renovations really weren’t a negative because of the way they were handled. Once completed this hotel will be really nice. Hotels need to do this work.

Friendly staff and good service. Food was acceptable but on the pricey side. The location was excellent. Just near the centre of town and about 290 mtrs fron the markets

Noise from other rooms, scraping of chairs etc. 3% surcharge on credit card payments. Omelets and eggs were cooked in copious quantities of oil...

We look forward to our next stay .

The breakfasts were very good , and well prepared. The hotel is well located . On previous trips we have had unfortunate experiences with aggressive greedy cab drivers and wanted a central location. The Grande provides that. Unfortunately, some of the other food was average at best , and disappointing, given the pricing . The quality of the meat especially, was inconsistent eg . Often the beef steaks was chewy and unpalatable. The chicken was satisfactory. Desserts were good . I have been a visitor to Vanuatu since the mid 1980’s and it produces excellent beef, sadly, not on this visit. The excellent views of the harbour were wonderful

See above .Some of the food ! That said ; the salads and Asian dishes were well prepared and consistently enjoyable. Otherwise , there was nothing not to like .

Nice place to stay in Central location

We enjoyed our stay. Some rooms were being upgraded while we were there but did not affect our stay. Rooms were comfortable and had a great breakfast. They were able to give us a slightly later checkout which was much appreciated.

There were issues with the Wifi but I think it was Island wide so not the casinos issue.

There were small cockroaches running around at night after you switch off the lights. There was no microwave to heat up the food
